The two dental centres of Dr Ekta Narula are highly equipped with the latest dental machinery and technology. Utmost care has been taken for maintaining sterilization and high standards of work for the benefit of the patients. STERILIZATION AND HYGIENE For sterilization the instruments are first mechanically cleaned by keeping them in sodium glutaraldehyde solution (cold sterilization). Then they are dried and kept in sealed autoclavable pouches and sterilized in an autoclave.
Once sterilized individual pouches are opened and used for a single patient to ensure complete hygiene. Only disposable syringes, disposable patient’s napkins ,disposable suction tips , disposable mouth masks ,disposable gloves, and disposable glasses are used. Disinfectants and air humidifier is used daily in the dental operatory. A glass bead sterilizer is used to sterilize root canal instruments (files and reamers). DENTAL CHAIR The latest dental chair has been installed in the dental operatory. It is an electronic chair with overhang handpieces , micromotor, xray viewer and an LED based light cure unit. A noise free compressor and a pneumatic suction is attached to the dental unit. It has a Biosystem for disinfection. It has a removable spittoon for easy cleaning. DIGITAL INTRA ORAL CAMERA The intra oral camera is used for the benefit of the doctor and the patient. It enables the doctor to see the condition and show it to the patient while he is in the dental chair. The picture is taken before and after the treatment and saved as records in the dental clinic. It is a great tool for the patient to identify the problem and see the results after the treatment. ULTRASONIC SCALER An ultrasonic scaler is used for cleaning the teeth. Only distilled water is used while scaling. This is followed by polishing to make the surface of the teeth clean and prevent further deposition of calculus(tartar) or stains. LIGHT CURE UNIT This is attached to the dental chair for the ease of operation. This is used to do cosmetic tooth coloured fillings (composite fillings). DENTAL XRAY UNIT RVG compatible xray with soft touch buttons, less exposure and great safety. High efficiency and greater sharpness of the radiograph is ensured.
